These individual zones can be inflated or deflated to precisely control the firmness of each area. The 3 zones on each side correspond to the head, lumbar, and foot regions. These areas can be controlled separately for each side of the bed, so each person can adjust the mattress for their own sleeping preferences. The necessary air pressure is provided by a quiet, computerized air compressor located in the foundation. This compressor quietly adjusts the air mattress firmness. The compressor is controlled by 2 hand held remotes with LED displays that allow each person to individually adjust their own side of the mattress. Hand controls can be stored in convenient storage pouches in the foundation piece. Located around the edges of this air bed mattress is high density foam to help prevent sagging along the edge. On top of the air chambers, two layers of high quality foam help provide a more comfortable sleeping experience. To top it all off, a quilted pillow top covering made of high quality Lyocell cotton fabric is treated with anti-microbial protection. This fabric is stretchable, durable, and breathes to help provide a premium sleeping surface. The 22" high top mattress is joined to a matching foundation piece to complete the set.
