With its dual DC brushless motors and lithium ion battery pack, the Segway scooter is an innovative way to travel for distances up to 24 miles on a single charge.  Just how much does a Segway scooter cost?  Below you will see some pricing on the Segway i2 and x2 scooter models.  Final cost will be influenced by where you purchase the Segway scooter and any optional features selected.     

Segway Scooter i2 ~ $4400 - $5000

The Segway i2 scooter is Segway's onroad personal transport.  It is intended for traveling across smooth surfaces with a maximum range of up to 24 miles.  For those that want the ability to traverse areas that are a little rougher, there is the Segway x2 scooter as seen below.

Segway Scooters x2 ~ $5400 - $5900

The Segway x2 comes with all terrain tires and large fenders.  The x2 is rated for up to 12 miles on off pavement surfaces.  Keep in mind that this is not an ATV that will be able to climb steep hills or cross extreme off road conditions, but it is more off road cable than the i2.  For some people, a Segway scooter might be a useful mode of transportation.   When you ask yourself, how much does a Segway scooter cost, you should also factor in the freedom, convenience, fuel & parking savings, and other factors.
