The Associated Monster GT is another great truck that comes with some nice features.  The stock factory monster gt parts can be replaced with a growing number of monster gt hop ups to make this great truck even better.  The purpose of this particular page is just to give a quick glimpse into a few of the different types of upgrades that are available.

1)  ENGINES:  As with most trucks, one of the most popular monster gt parts to upgrade is the engine.   Owners looking for more power often choose the Picco 26 engine as one of their favorite upgrades.  The Picco .26 engines include the powerful Ofna Picco 26 Outlaw, Picco P3, and the Team Orion Wasp 26 engines.  These engines crank out around 2.7 HP and offer very impressive performance.  The Picco 26 have been replaced by the newer, slightly larger displacement Picco 27 engines - which are very similar in design.

2)  BRAKES:   A monster gt with a more powerful engine can be a lot of fun, but not being able to stop safely is no fun!  Thankfully, one of the available associated monster gt hop ups is upgraded brakes.  Shown below is an upgraded brake disc which is one of the Associated Factory Team parts.

3)  GEARING:  Another category of Monster GT hop ups is gears.  There are a variety of different clutch bell gears and also some different spur gears available for the monster gt truck.  Changing the gearing allows fine tuning of performance by either increasing low end acceleration (and climbing ability) or boosting the top speed potential.

4)  BILLET ALUMINUM PARTS:  Another group of monster gt parts that are available are billet aluminum parts.  Typically, these monster gt hop ups are made to replace the factory original plastic pieces.  Billet aluminum parts are machined from solid blocks of aluminum material.  Typically, these parts will either have: plain aluminum, polished aluminum, or anodized surface finishes.  Shown below is the Associated Monster GT aluminum shock caps with blue anodized finish.  Billet aluminum upgrades can offer better looks, increased durability, and greater strength.

Conclusion

The Associated Monster GT truck is a great machine straight from the factory.  For people who want to customize and upgrade their trucks further, there are monster gt hop ups  available to make a great truck even better!  The upgrades shown above are just a small sample of the different monster gt parts available.
