The 1/8th scale Tamiya TNX (Tamiya # 43508) offers powerful acceleration, high top speeds, and outstanding performance all packed into a fully assembled RTR package! The Tamiya TNX has a great power to weight ratio with the high performance 3.0cc FS-18SR engine manufactured by world reknown OS Engines of Japan. The TGM-03 chassis features a new compact 2-speed transmission designed to ensure consistent shifting and a lightweight double wishbone suspension equipped with 8 oil filled shocks for superior handling and outstanding stability.

The original Tamiya TNX has been replaced by the exciting Tamiya TNX 5.2R.  Tamiya has taken the popular TNX and really boosted performance by adding a HUGE .32 nitro engine!  The new Tamiya TNX 5.2R not only has BIG POWER, but the re-designed truck now weighs LESS than the original TNX truck!  What does this massive increase in power-weight ratio mean?  It means a MASSIVE boost in performance!  It means a big monster truck that goes 60+MPH in stock form!

Tamiya TNX 5.2R with HUGE .32 Engine!

The new Tamiya TNX 5.2R also comes equipped with heavy duty steel driveshafts to handle the extra power.  In addition, a strong steel spur gear is also employed to more reliably transfer the massive power of the .32 cu.in. (5.2cc) FR-32FX engine.  A 2 speed transmission offers powerful low end acceleration along with high top speeds.  A ball pivot type double wishbone suspension in front and back is supported by 4 large capacity hydraulic shock absorbers.  With the power and speed of the Tamiya TNX 5.2R, a runaway truck would not be good!  Thanks to Tamiya, an electronic failsafe is built into the TRU-03 radio receiver to prevent a runaway truck in the event of radio interference or low batteries.
