Taurus Raging Bull 44 Magnum

The .44 Magnum is a popular cartridge in the heavyweight revolver world.  Once the king of the hill in terms of handgun knockdown energy, it has since been eclipsed by even heavier loads such as the .454 Casull.  Even so, the 44 Magnum is far from a weenie handgun load.  On the contrary, a 44 Magnum is still capable of muzzle energies in the 1200 ft*lbs range, and this is nothing to scoff at!  In comparison, the potent .357 Magnum round is good for around 500 ft*lbs of muzzle energy.  By any standards, the .44 Mag is still a powerful handgun load, and it offers less recoil than some of the bigger caliber handgun loads.  With that being said, it's no wonder that the Taurus Raging Bull 44 Magnum is a popular big bore revolver.

Raging Bull 44 Magnum Stainless

Taurus is known for building good firearms at reasonable prices.  Offered in a variety of configurations, a Taurus Raging Bull 44 Magnum can be purchased in: stainless steel, regular blued steel, and even with a titanium alloy frame.  Barrel lengths offered range from a snub nose 2-1/4" all the way up to a 8-3/8" long barrel for increased accuracy at farther ranges.  A heavy frame with cushioned grips along with a ported barrel help control the blast of this big bore revolver.

Popular as a backup sidearm for hunters and other outdoorsmen, a 44 Magnum revolver loaded with the right ammo at least offers a fighting chance in a bear attack.  Some also like to use the 44 Magnum for hunting game such as deer at closer range.  Whether you are looking for a handgun as a primary hunting weapon, as a backup sidearm, a massive self defense weapon, or just for big bore recreational shooting, the Taurus Raging Bull 44 Magnum offers a BIG BANG for the buck!

Taurus Raging Bull 454 Handgun

The Taurus Raging Bull 454 handgun is another of the big bore guns in the Taurus Raging Bull series.  For those looking to pack some real punch in a revolver configuration, the Raging Bull is a potent package offering impressive firepower with the mighty 454 Casull cartridge.  With hotter loads exiting the muzzle at nearly 2000 fps with around 2000 ft*lbs of energy at the muzzle, the .454 Casull is an impressive cartridge.  This is a VERY POTENT handgun!

Raging Bull 454 Handgun

To give you a comparison of how powerful it really is, the venerable .357 Magnum has around 500 ft*lbs of energy at the muzzle.  The Taurus Raging Bull 454 really is like holding the power of a raging bull in your hands!  Capable of releasing 5 of these powerful rounds in a matter of seconds makes the Raging Bull a formidable weapon.  To help keep all this firepower under control, the Taurus Raging Bull comes with rubber cushioned grips, a heavy frame, and porting at the top of the barrel to help minimize recoil.  Eight ports (four on each side of the front sight) vent gas upwards to help minimize the kick up of the Raging Bull.  The rust resistant stainless steel matte finish helps ensure good looks for the life of this revolver.  The potent Taurus Raging Bull 454 handgun is available in barrel lengths of 5, 6-1/2, and 8-3/8 inches.  Either way, if you choose the Taurus Raging Bull 44 Magnum or the mighty 454 Casull, you are getting an impressive amount of firepower in a handgun configuration.  These Raging Bull handguns are not for the faint of heart (or weak of wrist)!
